RankResearcher

A field- and year-normalized "level" for any researcher — so a mathematician and an oncologist are finally comparable. Free, no h-index. Add a second person to compare. Data: OpenAlex.

How the level is computed (the criterion)
Every paper on OpenAlex carries a citation_normalized_percentile — an official OpenAlex metric ranking it against papers in the same subfield, same year, same type (0–100). We average that across the researcher's most-cited works → Level. Peak is their single best paper's percentile, so a concentrated-impact researcher (one landmark paper) isn't buried the way h-index buries them. The per-paper percentile is OpenAlex's; the Level/Peak aggregation is ours. h-index and total citations are shown for reference only.
